About Us

In 2008 the Bulldog Hotel Group decided that it could do more to reduce it's impact on the environment and support local causes at the same time.

Talks were held with the "Boston Woods Trust", on ways and ideas of how Bulldog could help them to make a difference. The Trust was established in 2001, with the aim to provide accessible walks along seven miles of mixed native deciduous woodland, wildflower meadows and ponds.

And so they came up with their "little acorn" of an idea! Bulldog would make a donation to the Boston Woods Trust, for the cost of a new tree from the revenue they received for each and every hotel room sold.

The Bulldog Hotel Group currently has four participating hotels in the scheme, and the proceeds from the scheme are paid over to the Boston Woods Trust on a regular basis. The Trust in turn guarantees to purchase, and then plant the trees, in their projects around their local area. So far they have planted trees which now cover an area of 56 acres of woodland, and in addition they have 6 acres of wild flower meadow.

Because Bulldog believed so passionately about their idea, they went on to create the Greensleep concept, which will enable this tree producing scheme to be rolled out on a nationwide basis. The more people who book their hotel rooms through our website the more trees will be planted.

By simply booking your hotel rooms through our Greensleep website, you can "grow some wood" and bring a little benefit to the environment!

Please keep visiting our website to see our progression. We would welcome your feedback and would love to hear from you with any additional ideas or suggestions that you may have.
